My name is Linda Bishop. I am originally from Belize, Central America. I was born and raised there. My family now lives in Oklahoma City. I met and married a "born and raised Arkansan." We now have 2 kids, 5 and 3. Fortunately, I've been able to stop working away from home and stay at home with the kids. I love being a mom!
However to still help pay bills, I am using a lifelong hobby of wood working to chip in. Last year my husband set me up in my own shop in our backyard so I would be able to work and watch the kids.
To me, it's like a treasure hunt to find others' castaways and revive them, or give them new purpose. Most of my projects are restoring furniture and creating furniture from reclaimed wood. I also make decorative items from reclaimed fence pickets. I get my wood from my Dad who owns a fencing company.
I've been a vendor at Midtown for almost 2 years. I started off just selling items on consignment. It went well and I enjoyed it thoroughly, so decided to rent one of the smallest booths available. From there moved 2 more times to bigger booths.
I love having a booth at Midtown because it has such a bright, cheerful and clean environment. I love the orderliness of how the business is run as well. I also really appreciate Deb's desire to seek God's blessing in all things. I hope I can keep renting for years to come.
